Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions I am asked when I meet with someone for the first time.

Do you only work with people in the Columbia, SC area?

No. I work with people all over the United States.

What can I expect from my first meeting with a financial advisor at Dyadic Financial Management?

Our first meeting is a relaxed, friendly conversation designed to lay the foundation for a potential long-term partnership. Whether you're exploring financial planning or comprehensive wealth management services, we believe in building trust-based collaborative relationships. During this initial consultation, we'll take the time to understand your unique financial situation, aspirations, and values. We'll discuss your short-term and long-term goals, listen attentively to what matters most to you, and share how our expertise might align with your needs. This meeting is as much about you getting to know us as it is about us getting to know you; feel free to ask questions about our approach, experience, and philosophy. By the end of our chat, we'll both have a clear sense of whether we're the right fit to help you achieve your financial objectives.

What parts of my financial life will you assist with?

A better question might be: what can't we assist you with? Our commitment to your financial well-being extends far beyond traditional planning. We're here to support you in nearly every aspect of your financial life. Looking for money-saving tips on your next vehicle purchase? We're happy to share our insights. Navigating life changes like divorce or caring for aging parents? We're by your side with guidance and support.

Our team's extensive experience and carefully vetted network of professional service providers allow us to connect you with the right experts based on your unique needs and preferences. Whether you're seeking referrals to local tax and legal professionals or assistance with other financial matters, we're your go-to resource. At Dyadic Financial Management, we believe in providing comprehensive support that adapts to the ever-changing landscape of your financial journey.

How do you get paid?

Let's talk about our fees. We believe in keeping things straightforward and tailored to your needs. If you're looking for the full wealth management package (investment management plus financial planning), the fee starts at 1.5%, and it gets better from there. More of a DIY investor? No problem. Our fundamental financial planning starts at $200 per hour. Need a one-time financial tune-up? We've got project-based planning starting at $2,500. Here's the kicker: we're fee-only, which means no sneaky commissions. Just clear, objective advice focused on you. And the best part? Your first chat with us is on the house. We'll use that time to figure out what works best for you.

What makes Dyadic different than other advisors?

We're not your typical financial advisors. We're absolutely serious about your financial future and we believe in building genuine relationships with our clients. Our team is made up of down-to-earth professionals who can seamlessly transition from in-depth planning discussions to friendly conversations. We pride ourselves on being approachable and relatable, treating our clients as real people with unique stories and goals. If you're looking for advisors who combine expert financial guidance with a personal touch, you've found your match in us. We're here to make your financial journey not just seamless but also enjoyable.

Are you a fiduciary?

Yes! As a fiduciary, I am legally and ethically obligated to put your interests first, no matter what. Think of it like having a trusted friend who's good with money and is always looking out for you. When you work with a fiduciary like myself, you can rest easy knowing I'm not just trying to sell you products or make a quick buck. Instead, I'm focused on understanding your unique financial situation and goals and then making recommendations that are truly in your best interest. It's all about transparency, trust, and making sure your money is working as hard as possible for you. So when you're dealing with a fiduciary, you're getting advice that's tailored specifically to you, without any hidden agendas or conflicts of interest.
